Quick pit stop

What started as a few signage updates quickly grew into a full interior refresh for Quick Pit Stop, transforming how the store communicated with customers. While they already had an established logo, their in-store visuals lacked consistency, and promotions felt disconnected from one another. The goal was to create a cohesive system that would make the space feel more branded, organized, and engaging for customers.

I was brought on to design a variety of touchpoints throughout the store, including banners, stickers, window ads, signage, a TV screen for in-house advertisements, and a full deli menu. Each piece needed to clearly communicate promotions while still feeling unified and easy to update over time.

Because these assets lived in a busy retail environment, I focused on clarity, hierarchy, and visibility.

Research

Before designing, I looked at how other convenience stores and quick-service markets used signage and point-of-sale graphics to influence customer behavior. I studied layout styles, pricing emphasis, and placement to understand what information customers notice first and how to keep messaging simple and readable from a distance.

I also evaluated the store’s existing branding and interior to determine how new graphics could complement the space rather than compete with it. This helped me establish consistent typography, color usage, and templates that felt cohesive across every application.

Process

I created a flexible set of templates that the client could reuse for ads, promotions, and seasonal updates. These templates extended across banners, window decals, digital screens, and the deli menu, allowing the brand to stay consistent while making frequent changes easy to manage.

The process involved constant collaboration, with multiple rounds of feedback, revisions, and updated promotions. Through ongoing communication and reiterations, I refined each design to meet their needs while maintaining a clean, professional system that could grow with the business.

Conclusion

The final result gave Quick Pit Stop a cohesive in-store presence and a toolkit of ready-to-use assets. This project strengthened my ability to design functional marketing systems, adapt quickly to feedback, and communicate clearly with clients throughout an evolving, detail-heavy process.
