Oklahoma city thunder
Project 1
As the season came to a close, the Thunder Blue social team needed a way to spotlight the team’s standout performance stats in a clean, engaging format for Instagram stories and as a post. The goal was to celebrate the season’s highlights showcasing stats while giving fans a clear snapshot of the team’s effort.
I led the entire creative process: selecting the most impactful stats, choosing the players to feature, and designing two graphics that split the story into offensive and defensive achievements. Working in Photoshop, I went through several rounds of feedback and revisions and learned how to stay patient, accept critic, and adjust quickly which maintaining the integrity of the design.
The final result was a polished social story that honored the season and connected with fans while giving me firsthand experience managing a full design cycle from concept to approval within a professional sports environment.
Process
The design followed Thunder Blue’s branding guidelines, using a navy blue color palette, a mix of bold, condensed, and thin fonts, and dynamic action shots of players. Defensive and offensive stats were paired with matching player poses to emphasize the theme, while layouts remained clean and grid-based to ensure readability around player imagery.
Research
Before designing the Thunder Blue season stats post, I researched how other NBA and G League teams shared similar content. I focused on layouts, typography, and visual emphasis to see what connected with fans. Looking through past Thunder posts,LinkedIn, and Google images, I found inspiration in teams with strong imagery. This led me to use gradients, a clean grid, and negative space to highlight the numbers, resulting in a clear, engaging graphic that aligned with brand standards.
Conclusion
This project helped me strengthen my ability to design within brand guidelines while still making creative decisions that support clarity and engagement. From concept to final approval, I gained experience navigating feedback, refining visuals, and crafting a piece that both celebrated the season and connected with fans.
Project 2
Throughout the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder needed a clean, consistent way to celebrate employees reaching 5, 10, and 15-year milestones. The goal was to recognize their dedication while creating graphics that worked across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
I designed a flexible template system that balanced personalization with brand consistency, using clear typography, strong hierarchy, and subtle milestone badges. Each layout was optimized for multiple platform sizes to ensure readability and visual impact.
The final series created a professional, cohesive way to spotlight employees and strengthened my ability to design scalable, multi-platform assets within established brand guidelines.
project 3
Another project involved creating promotional graphics to announce ticket on-sales across Facebook, Instagram, X, and pregame emails. The goal was to quickly grab attention and clearly communicate key dates and calls-to-action.
I developed bold, high-contrast designs using strong typography and dynamic imagery, adapting each asset for both social and email formats. Through feedback and revisions, I refined the hierarchy to keep messaging clear and concise.
The final campaign delivered eye-catching, cohesive visuals that increased visibility around ticket launches and strengthened my ability to design with urgency and clarity.
